XMS Heavy Industries is a fabrication, repair, and assembly shop. We design, TIG-weld, and inspect every part we sell under one roof. Nothing is outsourced and nothing is drop-shipped, so the person who welds your part is the person who answers your questions about it.

Capabilities

  • UHV and XHV vacuum systems — ultra-high and extreme-high vacuum chambers, components, flange converters, and convoluted tubing serving research, semiconductor, medical, atomic science, and materials science programs. Assemblies range from benchtop to building scale, in 304 stainless steel and titanium.
  • Vacuum components — a stocked catalog of CF, ISO-KF, and ISO-K flanges, nipples, tees, crosses, bellows, viewports, feedthroughs, valves, and cross-standard adapters, available individually or assembled to your specification.
  • Motorsport fabrication — chromoly suspension for the 2002–2010 Volkswagen Touareg 7L, Audi Q7, and Porsche Cayenne platform, and stainless equal-length exhaust systems for the BMW M62/M6X V8 and Volvo whiteblock engines.
  • Custom fabrication and repair — roll cages, marine fabrication, structural welding, and repair work on customer-supplied components.

Specification and quoting

Standard vacuum components can be specified directly through the chamber builder, which validates flange compatibility as you assemble and prices each item individually. Non-standard geometries, exotic materials, and complete custom chambers are quoted on request.

Lead times and ordering

Production parts are fabricated in scheduled batches. Payment in full at checkout reserves a position in the next production run, and tracking is issued on the day the order ships. Current delivery for custom vacuum work is three to four months from the order date, depending on destination.
