DUE TO THE NATURE OF THESE INDUSTRIES AND EU/US REGULATIONS THERE IS GENERALLY A NO-RETURN POLICY


Business and institutional buyers

Most of our work is sold to businesses, laboratories, research institutes and trade buyers. Consumer cancellation rights do not apply to these purchases. Refund terms for business orders are as set out below and, for quoted work, as stated on the quote.

Catalogue and pre-order parts

Standard catalogue parts and pre-order production parts are built to order in batches, but they are not made to your individual specification. For these:

• Business buyers: once your batch enters fabrication, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded. Before that point, contact us — we will accommodate changes where the schedule allows.

• EU CONSUMER RIGHTS — WITHDRAWAL EXEMPTION FOR ALL CURRENTLY LISTED ITEMS
  
  Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)), 
  consumers in EU member states normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from 
  distance contracts. However, this right does NOT apply to "the supply of goods 
  made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised." This exemption 
  was confirmed by the Court of Justice of the European Union in Möbel Kraft 
  (Case C-529/19, 21 October 2020), which held that the exemption applies from 
  the outset (ab initio) — it does not depend on whether the trader has begun 
  production.

Cancellation by us

We may decline or cancel an order before fabrication begins — for example where we cannot supply to a destination, or where we cannot fulfil to the required specification. Where we cancel, you receive a full refund.
